I take pride in being a bass player. The bass often serves as the bridge for the rhythm to intersect with the melody. It is one of the most important instruments on the stage for this reason: It brings everything and everyone together. That is also what I strive to do as a musician.
My German upright or Fender Precision basses are plugged into Ampeg amplification. My passion these days has been with concentrating on jazz standards and bluegrass harmonies, but comfortable performing any genre. Absolutely love good harmonies and solid harmonies, in my opinion, are what separate many of the great bands from everyone else. Able to perform lead and harmony vocals as needed.
Have done several studio recordings along with personal Pro Tools equipment as well as video recording capabilities. I have also been fortunate to get my music into films. Experienced with live sound, own a PA suitable for many venues, and also have live recording equipment.
Booking experience is another skill I take great pride in. I have been very fortunate to have booked hundreds of shows in and around Los Angeles. Notable bookings include festivals, wine tasting events, concerts for professional sporting events, private parties, charity events and countless other occasions.
Some of the musicians I have had the honor of sharing the stage or bill with include: Leon Russell, Dickey Betts, Bill Kreutzmann, George Porter Jr., Ivan Neville, Wayne Kramer, Jill Sobule, Ike Reilly Assassination, Particle, The Lee Boys, Michael Hampton and many more.
Here are some of my primary bass influences: James Jamerson, Paul Chambers, Scott LaFaro, Rick Danko, George Porter Jr., Carl Radle, Willie Dixon, Willie Weeks, Darrin Vincent and many more.
Thank you for taking the time to look through the site and hopefully we will cross paths again soon.
